Small story

AGROBASE was founded in 1988 at the request of a group of international market research managers from ten of the world's leading research based agricultural chemical companies. During the 1980's there had been a rapid increase in the number of countries where farm panels designed to collect and project agricultural pesticide usage were performed. The task given to AGROBASE was to try to bring some order into this huge flow of data with a view of rendering it accessible to computer analysis across the various countries.

Agrobase developed the World Agrocode Program that includes the software Agrowin® and the standardization of data from different sources. The data from about 80 countries with 100000 products are managed today.

Agrobase is now developing a new database called Homologa™ that has a much broader use than only for the agrochemical industry. It gives access to the maximum tolerance levels of pesticides in food and as well to the registered pesticides in the different countries in the world.
